Yea, I know how you feel...I've had bad experiences with doctors too, as well as lawyers, teachers, and so forth..but you can't generalize all of them..

I've had one bad experience with a doctor here in the U.S., but I'd still take the U.S. Doctors over the Canadian ones because of the crazy stories that I've heard about the canadian patients and how they had to wait for so long to get properly diagnosed. oh trust me i know. a lot of clients in my salon are nurses that live in windsor, and they all work in michigan, they dont agree with the way things are going in windsor. and lot of doctors from windsor too. they go to michigan. its not the doctors fault sometimes, its the damn health system. people think, because our healthcare is free, thats its some great thing, but it isnt, we get treated like crap because of it. try going to the emergency room. ur gona wait 6 hours to see a doctor. if not more.

Pinky I love Canada too but come on. Our health care system is in shambles. I don't know if you read the paper but if you do, you must have seen the running series in the Toronto Star about how the lower class, and even some in the middle class, can't afford proper dental health care. Something as simple as a 6 months check-up is far from a reality to a growing number of the population. Don't even mention anything concerning your eyes because our federal government thought it wouldn't be a big deal if they took that out of the list of things covered by OHIP. With the many different forms of eye diseases, it feels GREAT(sarcasm) knowing that people are gonna lose their eye sight when it could have been avoided by a simple visit to an optometrist.

With hectic hours and unbelievable work loads, its no wonder more and more doctors, surgeons, nurses and physicians assistants are heading across the border to work. Expect to hear more and more about Emergency Room deaths in Ontario.

If you would have asked 10 years, we had one of the best health care systems in the world. Sadly, this hypocritical country sits here and points across the border at the elected leader and mocks him when our own leaders have torn down many of the great things in our country with their senseless spending. Okay, why do our parents go to Chaldean doctors and dentists? BECAUSE THEY WANT TO UNDERSTAND THEM (and marry them or feel inspired lol)...

But shit, we are all capable of understanding a native English speaker...i.e. AMERICAN...doctor. Things are more shady and less professional in my opinion for the most part when you go to a Chaldean doctor (sad to say because I'm going to become a Chaldean doctor..but at least I won't be in a boater city, I'll be in Ann Arbor with a very diverse patient population)..

I don't feel like driving all the way from the Deuce to Birmingham just to see my dentist because he is Chaldean. He is an excellent dentist and all, but I think I can save the gas money by walking across the street to the middle aged, lonely and struggling Indian immigrant dentist across the street. gosh I miss talking to her with my mouth open!
She does the same job for half the price and does it fast and with better appointment slots. Shit, I'm 18, I have the right to pick my own LOCAL dentist.

I have a problem with Chaldean professionals who lose their professionality around Chaldean clients and patients. Like seriously WTF? Just cause you know I'm Chaldean shouldn't make your services to me worse than say, a white or black person.
