PROPER (emphasis on "proper") diet and exercise to lower your body fat percentage. Eating chips and cookies all day while doing sit-ups will NOT give you a six pack.

you can eat whatever you want...just in moderation..small portions & you have to work out get a real sweat going & stick with it least 3 times a week..

No, you can't. If you eat food that ****s with your metabolism, then you have to work twice as hard to lose fat. And the whole process of getting a six pack involves decreasing your overall body fat.

Of course, you live an extremely active lifestyle, then you can eat pretty much whatever.

but anyway everyones body is diff & they will react differently...so best thing to do i think is see a doc about it or a trainer...or

This is the plan that I follow, it is called the "Abs Diet" developed by the fitness experts at the Men's Health Magazine. Honestly, you must submerge yourself in the science and in the field. Get a month subscription to Men's Health, that's what I did when I was a junior in high school. It all started when I checked out a magazine from the public library (which I still have yet to return). The secret to a good body is 70% diet, and 30% exercise. You are going to in essence reset your metabolism. Also, another GOOD trick I learned is to suck it in (not so that it hurts but you know, good posture). Also, holding your abs and breathing for a couple of sets also teaches your abs how to not stick out and make you look fat. I learned all my tricks from Men's Health. GOOD LUCK, if you need anything let me know, I practically know all of this stuff like the back of my hand. And as far as dressing is concerned, use oil and vinegar. It truly tastes good on a toasted whole wheat turkey sandwich from Subway. And cut out high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) most profoundly found in pop and other processed foods. READ THE LABELS!!! And rememeber!!!!! WATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!

HERE are the 12 types of foods you should start eating some more. They all target the abs (especially dairy and greens) and have other superpowers, like bone builders, cancer fighting, stamina/energy improving, and so forth:

1 ) Almonds and Other Nuts eaten with skins intact.
2 ) Beans and Other Legumes
3 ) Spinach and Other Green Vegetables
4 ) Dairy: Fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese
5 ) Instant Oatmeal: Unsweetened, unflavored
6 ) Eggs
7 ) Turkey and other lean meats. Lean steak, chicken, fish
8 ) Peanut Butter - All-natural, sugar-free.
9 ) Olive Oil
10 ) Whole-Grain Breads and Cereals
11 ) Extra-Protein (Whey) Powder
12 ) Raspberries and Other Berries


I'm sure you know of the workouts. I am going to buy the LL Cool J workout book soon, but I saw him doing what he does on TV, and they look really fun and effective. BTW, the Abs Diet book is like $12 at Sam's Club or Costco.

And remember, brush your teeth. You might have the best abs, but if your teeth are ****ed up, you'll get no play.

I agree. Also think about the nutrition you are putting in your body. You are just going to become a cesspool for heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancers with that type of diet, despite how healthy you look on the exterier.

sit ups dont do shit...its crunches that will **** you up...there are 8 different positions of situps you do that if you do a minimum of 25 in every position everyday you will burn the fat and start to form definition.

I don't make meal plans, I don't know how and I don't believe in them.

But I'll try.

I eat a toasted whole wheat turkey and swiss sandwich everyday it work. I add tomatoes, green peppers, spinach, romaine lettuce (which is 7 times healthier than iceberg lettuce), onions, black olives, and oil and vinegar. I eat it while drinking Smart Water (any water will do lol).

For snacks, you can eat carrot sticks and green peppers. Also, you can have a shake with whey protein (which I don't like but it apparantly makes you lose that pooch you were talking about). I've only had it once and I haven't had it since.

For dinner, make a lean chicken meal, preferably the breast. Be creative. Use all the powerfoods.

Also, making fresh beans are excellent way of fiber which will not only make you shit, but clean out your system. Fiber makes you less hungrey throughout the day anyways.

For breakfast, I only eat hard boiled egg whites. I might add a whole wheat toast, but I usually don't have time. You can also eat a whole wheat cereal (minus the ones with fruit because those are PACKED with sugars) while 2% milk (I learned to acquire this taste from Vitamin D years ago).

Finally, a simple favorite of mine is to use momma's libban (yogurt), and cut up my favorite fresh berries, especially strawberries and add them to the bottom. It tastes better than store bought "Fruit at the Bottom" yogurts and is also LOADS healthier because there isn't extra gunk to go along with it.

Remember, you can have a fun snack, like a snicker's bar, once a week. Reward yourself for your hardwork.

I want to develop lean muscle so my metabolism will be higher cause i ****ed it up over the years cause i used to have an awesome metabolism but i hear lean muscle is best to develop for girls cause it burns fat like no other!

do i do alot of lighter weights but do a lot of repetitions??

turkey and fish are excellent choices. turkey is ideal for building muscle while fish is excellent with omega 3 fatty acids. i used to rarely eat fish, so i bought omega 3 fatty acid capsules, but i don't use them anymore now that i eat fish. you can also try lean beef, but that is difficult to find, and unless you want to bulk up, i wouldn't recommend eating a whole steak.

instead of beans, you can try other legumes.

i ate sugar snap pea pods for like 3 months, and they made me shit just as well lmao..don't you like taco bell!?!? lmaooo i actually used to work there, and their beans are actually not that bad for you. so you can eat the "pintos and cheese" there.

mel, lean red meats have very significant health benefits. honestly, i don't prefer the taste of beef in much that i eat, but i can tell you that their health breakthrought occured around 1999/2000. i don't know much about them, but i'm sure you can google search and find out some more. but remember, so you don't feel stuck by the 12 powerfoods i said, try to incorperate as many as possible.

taco bell actually is very clean despite the rumors of Grade D beef. That is certainly not true, and the way they prep their foods is as good if not better thana five star restaurant lol.

the way the beans are made is that one bag of dry beans are added to hot water and sits in a water heater for 45 minutes. after this time, they are ready. the cheese is just cheese, and the red sauces in the "pintos and cheese" is made similarly to the beans lol..i have the inside scoop.

lol, i'm one of those "hypocrite personal trainers" :lol:

no i'm still working on it. i've gotten lazy since high school has ended, but if i pose correctly, i guess i can make it look like i have my shit together...lol j/k. but my weight has been curbed at 205lbs for nearly 6 months now, and I've noticed my body fat going away and muscle mass coming into place. and this has been the heaviest i've been, but anyone you ask will think i am 180lbs tops. but yes my stomach is flat, i just need to do some workouts and i'm sure they'll pop out, the abs.

but why do you want to see a picture of me naked you homo?

one more addition, they say the key to great abs is to get your body fat down to 10% (for men). I'm around 15% right now. =(
