I mean, really, what is it good for? It tastes like crunchy water. Its a waste of space! And time! And its always overdone in salads. Oh, my favorite is how they put lettuce in a greek salad everywhere! Americans really know how to mess things up. You do not get LETTUCE in a salad in Greece. You just don't. How bout when you get the salad you get 2 beets, 3 olives, 5 chickpeas, an onion ring (thinly sliced), 2 pepperocinis and 1 tomato wedge and EIGHT CUPS OF LETTUCE.

I like lettuce. All kinds of lettuce: spring mix; romaine; oak leaf; raddichio; iceberg.

My favorite salad is called a wedge where you get this huge slice of iceberg lettuce, a huge slice of tomato and it is smothered with blue cheese dressing and sometimes bacon.

I like romain lettuce but not so much the frozen iceberg crap like they use at Mcdonalds. But when I go to Subway I'd rather have spinach than lettuce. And lettuce is a good substitute for bread if someone is doing a locarb diet.

The iceberg crap that's mostly water doesnt' have much because it's grown a certain way. But any lettuce with color like red romaine or any dark green lettuce is good for you.
