I love meat pies. Middle eastern, english, scottish, jamaican, whatever.

I'm going to a party on Saturday where I have to bring a dish. Does anyone have a Chaldean recipe for meat pies? My mother used to make them but I really can't ask her for her recipe.

My wife has tried. Problem is asking a Chaldean for a recipe. Here is an example of my mom showing my wife how to cook:

Mom: "You see, you put about this much butter"

Wife: "How much was that?"

Mom: "I don't know, a little more than 1/2 a stick"

Wife: "OK"

Mom: "Then you put salt." (Picture my mom taking a large salt container and just pouring it in the pot)

Wife: "How much salt was that?"

Mom: "About 3 seconds worth of salt."

Wife: "Yeah, thanks, but nevermind the lesson, just cook us dinner please."

lmao, aw, i'm sorry to hear that's how the cooking lesson went.

My mom learned from my dad's aunt when she was younger. She only cooks certain things tho.

My personal favorite is meat pies with chicken. My mom makes them all the time and they are the best.
