Voting in polls to bump threads

This is annoying. Any way to disable this feature so we don't get threads from 05, 06, etc. bumped back to the main page?

Or just take off those random polls from the main forum page.

most are still relevant, i don't see a problem. the once are not relevant anymore I lock.

It's stupid because if someone is just voting in the poll without contributing anything to the thread or commenting at all, why should it be bumped back up? If they post and add something to the thread then it wouldn't be so bad.

All it does is push all the other threads down and annoys people.

Yeah, I've fallen prey to this as well. Halfway through a reply to something when I realize that what I am replying to is from 2005...that said, now I've just trained myself to check when I hit the "quote" button.
