a close friend of mine was actually driving yesterday by an abortion clinic, she saw a bunch of nuns protesting with signs that were saying things like "abortion is murder" "God will smile if you keep your child" she started cryong because a few years back she had one as well, i tried to make her feel better---at that time her and her loser ex had broken up, she was in between houses didnt have a job, had nothing to her name and i explained to her that God understood, he knew that that she wouldnt have been able to care for a child let alone herself, he forgives you he doesnt look down upon you and your baby wouldnt of had a father, because he didnt really care for the children he had. and i asked her where would she be now, did she think that she would have the child in a home would she able to afford it now? and she replied no. if you have those sort of problems you shouldnt have a child. A child is an innocent angel and deserves a family, a home, and a secure life...if you cant give a baby any of those things then yes abortion is the right answer until you are ready

Noone here is going to believe me when i say I would keep it but I would. I could never have an abortion even if it was because i was raped. I would never be able to look at myself and know that I killed a child because of someone elses actions. *Why should the child pay for something it never did. Now you have a child born with a depressed mother if the mother survives the agony...so you have a motherless child (if a mom is emotionally or physically scarred that child is living motherless basically)

If she gets an abortion, yes its against religion (if its not for health reasons - which this would be considered a health risk) she can go thru counseling, therapy etc. and get past the incident without having a constant reminder of it (the child) and go on from there.

Honestly, even though you think you know what you would do, I think it might change when it really comes down to it. We are young people, we probably think "this will never happen to me!" What if this happens when you are in Med school? What if it happens when you are trying sooo hard to get pregnant and you cant? Maybe at one point of your life you will want to keep it and another wouldnt even think twice about aborting????

This is why I will stick to my honest answer when I say: I dont know right now. If God forbid, I was put into that sort of situation, than I will be able to decide.

If after giving birth or even before birth, knowing that I would be reminded of the trauma I would give the child up for adoption, but I'm 33 so If it happened to me, I still would be traumatized from the rape, but I would keep the child because that is the child that might be meant for me. I know I probably would have PTSD from the rape, but I would be overjoyed to have a child.
