You now have the option to select avatars from a gallery. Avatars are the picture next to your user name as it appears in posts.
To select your avatar go here:

go all the way to the bottm where you will click on "Show Gallery" Then select from the gallery pulldown menu the catagory of the pics. Then just select the picture you want and click on "select avatar" you'll come back to the profile edit, and select "submit" for the avatar to take affect !
