God and Suffering...why??

To understand the teachings of Christ, or more importantly, to transcend oneself to deeper faith in Jesus, one must conceptually and physically experience the meaning of suffering! This might be a paradox for other world faiths, but as we know, our faith is not a religion, but is in fact a relationship, a personal bond between us (the believers) and our Lord Jesus Christ. *Having said that, it is understood that life will bring toward us its obstacles and many will skeptically begin to question the validity of these obstacles; if they are justified by God or why does God like to punish us or even some might question God’s existence!!! “oh you of little faith” Indeed, we are of little faith for we do not realize the beauty of suffering in our lives. *It is this suffering that makes us who we are, shapes our personality, gives us a more mature view of life and its complexities, it is this suffering that awakens us from our dogmatic slumber to consciously see God’s glory, “suffering is joy” as Father Sheen so eloquently put it. I suggest that we begin to rethink our stereotypical pessimistic view of “struggle/suffering” and adopt an optimistic "way of thinking" and to take glory in suffering, knowing that ultimately Jesus is in control of our destiny; our job is to keep our faith getting stronger. *From my life experience I can vouch that suffering is in fact a beauty in itself that certainly made a man out of me, and I thank God for that. i gotta agree with u guys, i once will admit was one of those ppl that questioned as to y things were goin wrong but thank god i learned how stupid and selfish i was being, because i wasn't appreciating the paths in life that god was givin me plenty of lessons to learn to fight and become a stronger person and at the same time havin my faith in him grow more and more

i am really grateful for everythin i have gone through in my life and i always stop and appreciate things when im down at my weakest point because its god showin me he cares for me to show me a new lesson in life and encourages me to intrust in him more and more of who i am and wat i am becoming because of him

and i really think my mom has helped me out a lot because shes taught me a lot about faith in god with the patience she has and understanding that god puts us in situations and paths for a reason which im soo happy to know and acknowledge gods wishes when i make a decision or choose a path in life i always stop and ask is it the right way not "is it the easy way, to get out of less suffering" *;)

i really believe that with suffering we learn to appriciate the meanin of life that god has given us more, and shows up in the end u have to put ur life into gods hands and noone elses *:angel:

I agree 100 percent but to be optomistic about suffering, I don't think furthermore that suffering would actually have the same affect on someone if they made it an enjoyable experience.
