INTRODUCTION- Tell us a little about yourself..
Hi, I'm Renee. I'm probably the oldest regularly posting member on the Chaldeanchat.net. I'm a bit of an anomoly for a Chaldean woman since I'm 33, unmarried, and live away from my parents.
I work as an associate professor of psychology at a community college in the Los Angeles area (and I have a Ph.D. in psychology) and I have a practice to help defense attorneys pick juries that are most likely to find for their defendent. (I also have a J.D. and have been admitted to the California bar). So you might say that I am a professional profiler.
I am very interested in women's issues and, more recently, specifically in getting the message out to young Chaldean women that they have options in life.

Of all the perjarative words to discribe a women, I hate this one the most. It's not just you jerkface. I hate this word because it implies that the women is sexually persmiscuous and is really no one's business. It also sounds harsh and women, by our nature, are soft and cuddly creatures

What do you look for in a man?
Confidence is the most important attribute I look for in a man. I want someone who is not intimidated by my opinions and my success. Next is a sense of humor. If he can't laugh, I'm outta there. Next is hygene. Shower and shave. I can't stand body odors. Next in independence. I need a man who is both independent in his opinions and in his finances. Mommas boys need not apply. It helps to be independent if you are rich. Finally, I want the guy to be good looking by my standards. Physically fit is a must. Bald or grey are ok. No chubbs at my door
What do you look for in a female?
Indedpendence. I can't stand whiney namby-pamby girly girls
Do you buy into that whole love hoopla? or do you think its just another stage of "like"
I think love exists. I've been in love a number of times. I've been loved a number of times. It's rare when the one you love also loves you back
You seem to be very outspoken about feminism...does it make you feel better by knocking the males?
I don't knock males. I knock anyone who would reverse or challenge the right of women to succeed equally with men

Andys Wifey because she seems like a girly girl and is canadian; ojeen and rudy because I don't like fundamentalist christians; pfizzle because he acts more boater than he really is (i think); and Randel because he just needs to be knocked down a peg.
Do you believe in "fate" or do think more realistically?
I believe accidents happen that we ascribe to fate. In reality, fate is the uncontrollable aspects of life that happen probabilistically and at random

I put those who snap at me for my comments into 2 categories: those who are ignorant, and those who are threatened. I don't really give a rats ass about those people. I say what I say because I hate hypocrites. I live a lifestyle and I'm not ashamed by it. I have been very successful and am mostly happy with myself. I don't think anyone should emulate me or my lifestyle. But I want people, especially Chaldean women, to know there are options that can work. I have had a lot of pm and im comments and questions looking for advice. Most of it is positive so I'll continue speaking my mind until Sam bans me for life.

LOL Let's do separately for the guys first: Armenian because he is a gentleman; Samiam, because he is fair-minded and even tempered and knows how to have fun; Bono because he is mature; and the new Joey because I liked his definition of love. For the girls separately: Rita, because I admire her; Emily, because I think we'd teach each other a lot of things; Ranoobie, because she has a wild streak; and Meme (Amy) because she really want's to be a "bad" girl. Why are you the person you are? what do you think has sculpted you into the person you are today?
I am the person I am because I knew from very early on that I was different. I was going to turn into me regardless of who or what got in my way. I was very much sculpted by my environment. Having traditional boater parents actually strenghtened my resolve not to yeild to what was expected of me. Getting pregnant and having an abortion while still a teenager and not having anyone to turn to to help me has also made me realize I needed to be independent but dedicate my life to helping others
Why do you know so much about sex & female problems? have you ever considered persuing a career in teaching sex ed?
I like sex and I am a female. I spent most of my life learning about how to do it better and to give and get more pleasure from sex. I think every female needs to educate herself about reproductive health. Why would anyone rely on another person where your health is concerned. As for teaching. I did an internship in a Planned Parenthood clinic when I was in Grad School. I think I am teaching sex ed. every time I log on to Chaldeanchat.net
In a recent thread you made asking if your chaldean you said "I'm 100.00% Chaldean (and definitely NOT Assyrian)" *is there that much difference between chaldeans & assyrians besides the language? & what does being chaldean mean to you?
I just base my comments on what I had been taught. My parents consider themselves Chaldeans and not Assyrians so why shouldn't I? I don't know either languages so I can't really relate to the that question
