An all girls' retreat!!!

What better way to forge relationships and to create some common ground without the distraction of men. This is a great idea Stephie. I hope u all are going to some nice place.

Maybe with events like this, Chaldean girls will learn that they need to stick together and be supportive and stop the gossiping and back biting.

I hope you get a full response.

BTW, you should post this in the Lounge as well, bc I think there are some of the youngers here who don't read this room.

Thanks Renee- I am spending 90% of my time on this retreat so i really hope it goes well...i want to help girls see the good of their fellow chaldean girls - to see eachother as sisters not enemies :)

I really hope we have a good turn out :)

And i will post it in the social lounge as well thanks :)

sorry stephie, but having a sister going into high school, this is probably whats going to happen. The friends will become enemies. The enemies will become friends.

For example
My sis:I hate "blank", shes a dumb b.
Next week: Her and "blank" are going somwhere.

Hopefully you dont get 2 many of them like that.

This is why the boys and girls should be separated. I have another scenario for you Randel:

Your sis: I hate "blank," she's a dumb b.
Stephie: That's not a Christian attitude. We are all sisters. Let's see why you think "blank's" a b and work through it. What would Jesus do about this difference?
Then the other girls will discuss the issue.
Your sis: Wow, now I see that I can be different than "blank" and still like her. Next week I will invite her to hang out at the mall with me and my friends.

I hope Randel's sister goes on this retreat. With Randel (and his negative male attitudes) as a brother, I'd say she needs it.

We cant say where the retreat is - we provide transportation, the retreatants have to have no realization of any world besides the retreat world. *We will give information about our location and contact numbers to parents on the day we leave. *Let me know who your cuzins are and if they can come for sure and i can forward some permission slips and stuff :)

(REPOSTED IN "how is your life going" thread)

My life is going at its absolute best. The reason behind this is because on Friday, August 19 until Sunday Aug. 21, I went on a retreat with Stephie_B and *about 32 other females. From ages ranging from 14-27, I seriously think we all came out as different people, not neccessarily personality wise but rather about how strong we feel about out culture and religion. We connected with others and personally, there's no better feeling then knowing that you are not alone. Anyway, thanks to the leaders and all of my new sisters for that experience, IT WAS TRUELY AMAZING!! Big Grin Angle *Pray * *_________________ Thanks STEPHIE_B.....expect the unexpected!!!
