Arabic music rocks :alright:

So does American though :jive:

I guess it all depends on my mood :goofy:

We should be grateful that we are exposed to both of those cultures and I think we should take advantage of both of them!!!!!

:jive: <------- GO BONO!!!......LOL

(sorry couldnt find a table at a wedding for u!) :eh:

Actually, no, but I just downloaded about 100 songs for my mom, she is crazy about her. The interesting thing about her songs are the lyrics.

Arabic music and dancing is the best. I drive home with it playing all the time and there is just something about the beat that puts me in a better mood. I have the best time at our parties...I never stop dancing! I was the maid of honor at my cousins wedding last September so during the zeffa I got up on a chair behind the head table and danced. Now if u knew me you would never think that I was the get on the chair and dance type girl but when i'm with family at a happy occasion I have the time of my life. When my brother gets married i'm going to follow in Bonos footsteps and get on the table!

We always get up on a table and belly dance... ever since I was a little girl, I followed my aunt's footsteps. It is expected that my aunt & I get up and dance on a table after the cake is cut. Somtimes we will grab a guy (brother or cuzn) to get up with us...when they r drunk like Bono.

it's a tradition after the ceremony, after they cut the cake, the bride gets a zeffa (the groom gets one too) the girls/womem (only females) will take the bride to the dance floor, get in a circle and start dancing with her!

for the groom is different though, them men carry the groom n start singing old arabic cliche's

Yes I am Chaldean and we do have a zeffa. Sometimes we do two zeffas. One for the beginning of the party and one for after dinner at the cake cutting. The zeffa is when the people at the party dance in front of the bride and groom. They are basically escorted in by everyone dancing in front of them onto the dance floor and to the head table. The cake zeffa is basically the same thing. Everyone dances in front of the bride and groom from the head table up to the cake table and onto the dance floor. It is my favorite part of the party. I think it is a great way to start of any occasion. It just gets everyone in the mood for a night full of dancing. :jive: :jive: :jive:

You know now they are having only one zeffa per party. I think it's the new thing now!

The enterance and cutting the cake!

So the bride and groom enter the hall and cut the cake during the same zeffa, I think it's pretty cool but it all depends on what you like!
