American League - L.A. Angels vs. Chicago White Sox
National League - Houston Astros vs. St. Louis Cardinals

L.A. opened up the series with a Game 1 win in Chicago, while the Astros/Cardinals series opens up tonight in St. Louis. Both series should be fun to watch, and both of them have the potential to go the distance.

I like L.A. coming out of the American League, beating the Sox in 6-7.
I think Houston and St. Louis will go 7 games as it did last season, and I think the Cardinals win again.

And as much as I like the Angels, I think St. Louis has too many big bats and better pitching, so I think they will be the next World Series Champions, defeating the Angels in 6 games.

Who do you think is going to win these series and in how many games?
Who do you think is going to win the World Series and in how many games?

(Scores and updates will be posted as both series' go on)

i have a feeling, it's going to be the Angels vs. the Cards in the end. *As for who will win that match-up is a tough one.. I hope the Angels because I live deep in Angels territory (screw the Dodgers) and always have been partial to the team.. My campany I work for is majority Cardnal fans because they are in Cardnal territory.

Game 2's are now in the books.

Chicago and Houston take their game 2's to even their series at 1-1.

Houston beat St. Louis 4-1 behind an amazing pitching performane by Roy Oswalt, while Chicago defeated L.A. on a contraversial call late in the game. The White Sox/Angels series continues tonight while the Astros/Cardinals series starts again on saturday, both of them will be switching sites as the NLCS moves to Houston, and the ALCS moves to L.A.

Game 4 is in L.A. on Sunday.

in Anaheim :x

The Sox are really out preforming the Angels. Game 3, the Soxs outpitched the Angels.. Dissapointing. but typical. :disgusted:

Half of the World Series participants are set. The Chicago White Sox advance to their first World Series since 1959, defeating the L.A. Angels in 5 games.

The Houston Astros take a 3 games to 1 lead into Game 5, and look to close out the St. Louis Cardinals and advance to their first World Series in their 44-year history.

Its a historic event for Astros and Sox. It'll be a good WS match up. Assuming that the Astros will make it of course :)

It's not over just yet.

St. Louis kept their season alive with a win in Houston last night, beating the Astros behind Chris Carpenter.

The series resumes tomorrow night with Game 6. It should be a dandy.
