World Series 2005

Seeing as how NEITHER of my World Series picks came through, I found it only fitting to make a new thread, announcing that it will be the Houstons Astros and the Chicago White Sox battling for the World Series crown.

Since the American League won the All-Star game this year, the Series begins in Chicago, with the next two in Houston, and the remainder ofthe games (if neccessary) will be alternated.

So which team will become the 2005 World Series Champions?

Umi I think you're right it is the White Sox year. They lead the Astros 2-0 after winning in walk-off fashion last night with a Homer by Scott Podsednik. I would say sweep but Houston is pretty damn good at home, but well see.

Believe it or not, the CHICAGO WHITE SOX are 1 game away from winning their first World Series in over 80 years! They won a 14-inning marathon 7-5. Check this stat out, as if the White Sox pitching wasen't good already, after Houston went up 4-0 on a Home Run in the 4th, Chicago's pitching gave up only 1 more hit for the rest of the game!!! They have a chance to wrap things up tonight in Houston, and it will be Freddy Garcia for Chicago going up against Brandon Backe for Houston. Should be a fun game.

I think they'll go to 6 games. Houston will make a small comeback, but no big deal.

What suprises me that the White Sox only lost ONE post season game and thats to the Angels. Just amazing!

Im a HUGE CUBS fan and I love the rivalry and the threats for a wearing Cubs jersey in SouthSide and vice versa ;) Thats what makes Chicago is the fans.
