Soooo,

Who will come out from the east, and west?

I think the east will have a lot of competition.

Detroit
Miami
Indiana
Chicago (may surprise a lot of folks. They're getting better quietly)

As far as west:

San Antonio for sure
Pheonix if Amare is healthy.. they are dangerous. But they need to step up their defense. Defense wins champoinships.
Dallas will need some help.

Any thoughts?

Sorry for the long ass post, but when it comes to Basketball, I could go on for days.

Eastern Conference seedings:

1. Miami - Arguably the best team in the East. They have major firepower, which will help Shaq because he won't need to play as much during the regular season, making him a healthy force in the playoffs.

2. Indiana - This team has a MAJOR chip on their shoulders, and they will come out with something to prove. Not to mention they have Ron Artest back, and if he plays to the best of his abilities, the Pacers will be tough to stop.

3. New Jersey - They are ahead of Detroit only because of the Division seedings, and that's about it. A healthy Jason Kidd, Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter make for a lot of scoring in N.J., and along with a weak Division, the Atlantic is theirs to lose.

4. Detroit - The only reason why Detroit is number 4 is for 1 reason. They are not fans of the regular season and are built for the Playoffs, which will take away from their overall record in the regular season. Honestly it's a 3-way tie for the East's top teams, and I'm pretty sure you know who they are.

5. Cleveland - LBJ's gonna be a monster this year, and with the additions of Larry Hughes, Damon Jones and Donyell Marshell, they should be a 50-win team.

6. Philadelphia - AI is gonna be AI, and with a healty Chris Webber (I use that term with caution) they should be a lock for the Playoffs.

7. Chicago - They're young and they have a little experiance in the Playoffs, although be only one round. They should be a Playoff team if they avoid injuries.

8. Washington - They have a lot of offensive weapons, but the loss of Larry Hughes, theire defense takes a hit. I think they win the last Playoff spot over the Knicks, just because theire offense will win them games.

Western Conference seedings:

1. San Antonio - They need no explanation, so I won't waste my time.

2. Sacramento - They have one of the best starting 5's in the league with the Additions of Bonzi Wells and Shareef Abdur-Rahim. They may be the team that gives the Spurs a run for their money.

3. Denver - Everyone on that team is 1-year older, which makes them a more mature ballclub. Not to mention they have a great coach in George Karl.

4. Houston - My personal opinion: Houston is the 2nd best team in the West. They made good off-season moves, and last time I checked, they still have Yao Ming and T-Mac.

5. Dallas - They will always be a middle-class team, even with all of that talent.

6. Phoenix - I think they still make the Playoffs, even with Amare being out until the All-Star Break. Steve Nash isn't the MVP for nothing, and with Shawn Marion and Jim Jackson, they should be able to hold the fort down until they're main man comes back.

7. Utah - They have a great rookie Point Guard in Deron Williams, and their Frontcourt starters rival Detroit's as the best in the league.

8. Seattle - Ray Allen is still there, and they still have offensive firepower, while their frontcourt isn't as big, they should be able to rack up 45 wins to take the 8th spot in the West.

I think that everybody always underestamaites the Pistons. Just because they didn't make any big moves doesn't make them less better than they were. Miami are like the LIONS, they look good on paper but they have no team chemistry, that will hurt them. So look for the Pistons to take it to the House again this year but they won't fall short this time.

Thats what i'm saying.

Anyways I think Normie pretty much summed it up. Although maybe the Bulls might make it to the 2nd round. Im sure Scott Skiles worked on some minor defects they had last year. Bulls was awfully close on winning all there play-off games.

BONO I am not comparing the HEAT to the LIONS. But like how everyone said the Lions look good on paper that's what I am saying about the Heat they look good on paper. I mean I personally think they didn't get that much better. I mean you trade Eddie Jones a great defender to get Antoinwan Walker who is known for his poor denfese, bad trade I think. Also the addition of Jason Williams wasn't a good move eithier, because everyone knows the throws up shots and is also a poor defender. In all reality the Pistons win the EAST

They're gonna raise the Eastern Conference Championship banner tonight. It's gonna sucks watching it. I was watching the San Antonio Spurs Championship ceremony before their game last night and I had to change the channel when they were raising the Championship banner. I said to myself "Man I can't watch this shit", it pissed me off bigtime.

Hell yea Normie..thanks for mentioning George Calrl...that guy is a bad ass coach...the Denver Nuggets should be much better than last season just because they went to the playoffs a few times and lost...but this time George Carl went with them...I think he'll rebound this team and we'll see what happenes. Go Meloooooooooooooo

How about those Lakers last night? As much as I hate Kobe, he saved the day in OT. I feel bad for Denver though. They had such high expectations this season and they got bad news from Nene because he's out for the season with a torn ACL. I hope they'll play through it I want them to succeed.

P.S. - Umi your Bulls looked good, but it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. I don't know how good they'll be considering they lost Eddy Curry AND Antonio Davis, 2 of their best big men. I still like them to make the Playoffs because of their backcourt, Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich are a couple of bad MoFo's.
