actually Iraq is not really good in soccer...they are ranked at 68th place...which is so bad...Iran is better then Iraq...and Iraq didn't beat a lot of countries in the preliminaries....they tied a lot of times...and by the way....they didn't beat portugal, costa rica or italy in the preliminaries...maybe you're talking about the olympics...but hunni this is the WORLD CUP...these aren't no olympic matches...the only countries Iraq beat in the preliminaries are palestine, uzbekistan and the chinese taipei ...I watched all the matches...trust me...I know more then anyone....

Iraq have a youthful outlook now and hopefully in five to ten years time they can make an impact. The team was so much better when it had Assyrian players playing for them.

My money would of been with Russia but they could not beat those damm Slovaks in the qualifiers. My bet is on Germany, the Hosts.

One of the few things that have Iraq in a slim hold is there semi pro defense...about 7 players the last times I checked were proz....Younis Mahmoud is one of the best young players in the world..the boy got skills....Qusay Muneer is another bad ass on the Iraqi Side

just to let u guyz in on a lil secret....Some of the people that run the sports in Iraq are assholes...some not all....when Iraq gets tight a$$ nike and adidas jersies and equipment..those assholes I was tellin u about sell it on the black market and give the players some sorry ass jersies and equipment...that includes kleets...and so forth. what kinda crap is that..

I remember when I lived their they always went to the World Cup finals with Mexico Brazil and Argointina...Iraq got fourth...but then from that point on...the coward Saddam ruined everything..its all good though...we'll rebound and win the wolrd.

How can you say Iraq is not good..look what there going through.....war....thats all I have to say..there freakin goalie b4 a match had a nevous breakdown bcuz his heart was with his family in Iraq.

I know that there ranked that high up which is not good...but u have any idea why??????Saddams son..the pussy ...didn't WANT IRAQ TO PLAY WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD...HE ONLY WANTED THEM TO PLAY FOR THE ARABS...LIKE AROUND THE GULF AND AROUND THE ARAB REGION..thats all..he didn't want them to play with anyone else for some reason....anyways Iraq will make a impact come the next world cup....they will kick ass...if they have a good coaching staf and all that good stuf...balls to pratice with...and so forth they will have high moral and would love to win the world.
Goooooooooooooooooo Mexico(since Iraq is not in the World Cup)

nem chaldo
11-23-2005, 12:41 AM
Now I hope you understand why they rank that high up....here it is again...because Saddms son didn't let them play with the rest of the world for a long long long long time..i am talking about more then five years maybe even more..and THAT IS THE ONLY REASON WHY...NOTHING ELSE MORE...GIVE IRAQ A CHANCE AND I GARUNTEE THEY'LL BEAT BRAZIL AND SO ON...(they were suppose to get a friendly with brazil but i dunno hat happened to that)

So please...i take this to heart when someone sayz Iraq this and Iraq that and have no idea whats going on behibnd the picture.
And btw...evey freakin Chaldean loves soccer and assyrian..its in our blood. My Uncle was the head coach for a Assyrian/Chaldean Club in Iraq and he always made sure they get to the finals...he was a very good man. He was the head coach for his village back in the day...for Dawoodiya.....

OK, world cup soccer starts tomorrw and if u notice most, if not all games will be played in the early afternoon (U.S. eastern time zone). That means I will be at work and can't watch them :(

can someone help me and tell me how the hell I'm going to watch these games, and no, I can't afford to take half days for the next 4 weeks or work from home.

They will be shown on ESPN and ESPN2, which means I need cable or a sattelite at work to watch them. That's not possible either.

Help people help... :(
