Atheism within the Chaldean/Assyrian community?

Is there any atheism, agnosticism, or even deism within the community?

I doubted my faith when I was 12, officially left when I was 15. Tried to go back when I was 17... failed miserably.

I've been agnostic atheist ever since.
And haven't met another one like me, not once in the community... I can't possibly be the only one?!

You'll be surprised to know that many Assyrians and Chaldeans are adopting the same worldview that you have. Will not be long before we lose most of the Chaldean community to secularism and other relativistic ideas.

surprised

I'm surprised that there are not more atheists within the community. I used to ID myself as "Chaldean" but since I am no longer a member of the Catholic Church there is no reason to ID myself as a member of one of its Eastern Rites. I know that there are a lot of Assyrians out there and for me it's more of a sense of belonging to the community as a whole without being ostracized for not believing in something for which there is absolutely no proof whatsoever. People have called me evil, selfish, immoral, "bigger than god", and the list goes on. I'm actually thinking of making a facebook group and if I do I'll post something on here about. For those of us who rationally reject the notion of "faith", there needs to be a forum for us to congregate and discuss our views on reality, because ancient babylonian/assyrian mythology, Code of Hammurabi like morality and unrealistic events such as miracles and angels and virgin birth are absurd notions to blindly accept and furthermore indoctrinate our children into. Additionally, any chance of a homeland for our people will be obtained via secularism, not by stealing money from our people for the Vatican.
