No, this regime will go down as the most brutal in the history of the regime, much like the colonial regime in India that killed so many of its own people, of the same blood and flesh, what a shame, no previous regime in Iraq was as brutal as those there now. I will never vote and legitimize hatha regime la qanooni oo zaalem, kapoora, jaalaali oo NIKHRAYA. Baryanan rakhmanan parqla Iraq min daha hikma ZAALEM. Khaya Atour Umtan gabarta oo khleeta.

Actually it would make a difference. There are many Chaldean/Assyrian parties that are just dogs for the real people in power, and there is an independent one that struggles for our people. One with a proven history. And as we've only 5 seats in parliament, there is a struggle within the country between the other major groups. And we need to fill up those 5 Christian slates with the list that will look out for our people in the future. You may think 5 seats is nothing but one of the other groups will need us, and that's how we're going to go about getting things done.

Shame on you if you didn't vote, I guess you don't give a damn about our oppressed families back home.

I'll gladly say I voted 3 hours after the polls open in Bella's. I look forward to the outcome.

Julianna, you are as educated as the rock I stepped on this morning. You go ahead and sit there, all comfortable, in your cozy house, in your cozy clothes, in a place where freedom prospers, and think you have the right to sit here and make the assumption that the votes don't matter?

Get off your ass, find out who's getting killed almost everyday, and go do some research before you make an arrogant comment.

Every vote counts. This doesn't mean that every vote will count as we are aware that plenty of fraud goes on, some votes may get lost, etc. But just like in donating blood, to save lives, not every pint of donated blood is used to save lives. A lot of these blood donations have to be canned, but the moral of the story is that someone tried to give blood to safe a life. And the more blood they have to work with then the less worries that there wouldn't be enough blood to supply initially. This is what we're trying to do, to give blood to our folks back home so they get to endure less of a struggle. This means doing what we can for them... besides donating, the least we could do is vote, because they need us to.

ok since u KNOW IT ALL...what do u think is gonna happen after this vote...u think its not gonna be the same as it is right now? u think that everything is gonna go back to normal??? I DONT THINK SO...and thats what i mean when i say its not gonna make a difference!! The crazy people there that are doing what there doing like kidnapping, and killing...u think there gonna stop after our votes? i just dont think soo.... there are many crazy people there running around...whos gonna stop them? they need someone like Suddam!! thats my point...i dont hate our people by all means...but iraq is not iraq anymore....my dad works there and he says...the old iraq is long gone....the people there are not like they were 20 years ago our friendly neighbors are not our old friendly neighbors anymore. No such a thing anymore...your own neighbors now will kidnap u and keep u in there house.... right next door to ur own house...and no one knows!! So please just explain to me how is it gonna make a difference? u keep saying every vote counts!! i love my people i do...but it is what it is there now!!

I think it is kinda better that it went the way it did cuz because some of your relatives think the vote should be boycotted until the withdrawal occurs, most think it is a betrayal to not vote, most of your relatives think you are betraying your nation to vote for any slate other than 389 and some obviously may not speak to you for a while if you vote for 389. Plus nobody has really any clue who they are voting, but mos tthink it does not matter who you vote for, but that you vote. There is a small microscopic part of me that does not feel bad about not being allowed to vote.

No, I didn't vote.

You can vote if you are Iraqi born or if your father was born in Iraq.
