I don't understand what's their reason behind rejecting them?

They are rejecting them on several basis:

1) You were not born in Iraq youself (like me and all us of here almost).
2) Someone was born in Iraq but showed documents that are non Iraqi to stated they were born there, like American or Syrian passports, or sometimes Baptismal Records being used as proof.
3) You did not "properly" vote on the ballot.
4) The routine used for every vote was not followed through correctly by the Embassy people at the polling place.
5) Some other reasons they have not managed to fabricate yet (still trying to create more stories), as all shredded ballots do not fall into one of the 4 above mentioned excuses.

Those are all valid reasons but I don't see why they have to shred them. Why wouldn't they just not count them?

Except #3 they legally cannot even not count the votes, yet even for that reason they cannot shreds them. They want to alter the result (the victory of 389) into something else (a victory for KDP backed parties) and all these tactics, including shredding of votes, is a result of that.

Yes, they will win 3 or 4 seats, probably 3. Just out of curiosity Yonan, which website do you use to follow this election stuff, or the results as they come in?

I read things on AssyrianVoice.net

389 won 3 seats, 390 won 2..... Allawi won the election, so this is great news for Assyrians in Iraq.

Today was a historic day, and a small step for global democracy and equality, but a giant step for Iraqi Assyrians.

Deluded bunch..

If he had the power to do so, he would do that in kirkuk where things actually matter, and not worry so much about some votes that won't make the slightest diffrence.

Hmmm. I used my dad's passport last time and it was accepted. I was born in Kuwait but in the Middle East, it doesn't matter where you were born. They go by lineage so they accepted and gave me the voter card.

Cool that you got to vote, my dad lost his passport and I did not get to vote. I just heard some ppl went to SD and they got into voting problems and were real mad. There was a brawl in Pleasanton I heard, but it was not related to outside the Assyrian culture it was mostly the pro Aghajan mostly Dadesho linked ppl who were mad that the Zowaa people brought the purple flag and were like tailgating at the Fairgrounds.
